Looking At The Number 143

In maths today we noticed that we could find lots of different ways of making the number 143 if we followed a pattern. Our first pattern was to add on to both numbers to get the same answer because it was take away. But our second pattern was addition so we had to do the opposite, if we went higher by 1 in one number we had to go lower by 1 in the other number. We found lots of ways to make 143.

Counting backward from 99 to 80

Shailah and Kezia counted backwards from 99 and we stopped at 80. We strated with an odd number and finished with an even number. Each number that Kezia wrote was an odd number and each number that Shailah wrote was an even number.
