Matariki Celebrations

 To celebrate Matariki in room 6 we made stars and kites. 

To make the stars we had to thread the wool from opposite to opposite side and move the disc around in an anti clockwise movement. 

To make the kites we used greaseproof paper and tissue paper. We then attached straws to the back of the kite, a tail to the bottom of the kite and string to the straw to fly it. 

Here are some images of us making stars and flying our Matariki kites. We had lots of fun!
