Kiwican - likes and dislikes
On Thursday we took our buddy, Raphael to Kiwican with us. We were learning that it is okay for us to not all like the same things. And that we can still be friends when we don't like the same things. Raphael worked really hard and was given the star of the day. We were very proud of Raphael.
The Alphabet
Aliyah, Farzana, Oscar and Trinny had to complete a number of activities during reading today. Here they are matching the correct picture to the letter while making sure they place the cards into alphabetical order.
Reading Time
David and Kruse had to make up a silly sentence as a reading activity today. They had to remember to use a capital letter at the beginning of their sentence and either a full stop . A question mark? Or an exclamation mark ! To mark the end of their sentence. Here are some of their silly sentences.
Maths: Working out the pattern for fives
Liletina's partner had to leave and go to reading, so Trinny came along and helped Liletina to work out the fives pattern using the hundreds board.
Measurement : How long?
Afatia and Liletina were working together today and they had to measure the length of each other using cubes. They joined the cubes into fives and then used the hundreds board to see what the total of cubes used came to.
Counting in fives
Kortez and Sione were counting in fives today. They worked out the pattern using the hundreds board.
Measurement in Room 3
Sione and Kortez had to work together to see how long they were. They worked with sets of five blocks.
