My Guy Fawkes Poster, From Inotia.A.

I made a Guy Fawkes Poster with my team. I learned that During the days before Bonfire Night children used to take their home made guys out on the street and ask for a penny for the guy for fireworks . I learned a poem for guy Fawkes the poem is like this remember remember the fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot. We see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot!" .We do things because were remembering when the king of England James I and the house of Parliament were nearly blown
up with gunpowder. I really enjoyed making a Guy Fawkes poster with my team. I was really worried that our poster was going to be messy. We were writing in our neatest so others could understand what we're writing. There were six kids in my team.

Room 4's competition with room 3

When we finished badminton Mrs Huggins said do you want a game with my class Mrs Hiddleston said yes. So
we played. When I threw the ball at Sam I didn't get him because I took too long to hold the ball. Sam threw it at me he got me because I wasn't looking at the ball. Mrs Huggins said time up I will tell you who is the winner and it is room 3 . I will do one more round and see who is the winner is it room 4 or room 3. When I chucked it at Sam I got him then I chucked it at Rahula and I got him and we won.

The Enormous Turnip

This Term we have been looking at narratives. We decided to write our own script and make our own set to retell the story of The Enormous Turnip.

Hi I am Sylis this is me at badminton. I have learnt a lot of skills like back hand serve.We play stuck in the mud for our warm up.We got in to our teams and we tried to hit the Shuttle over the net but we could not get it over the the first time because it was to hard but it is easy now.

Jayden and Joshua Receive a New Bike

On Wednesday we got into Mrs Salmons car to go to Point England school. When we got there we saw Brian and Bobby. Bobby called out our names and we had to stand up and we were given a helmet and the teachers put it on our head. Next we walked over to the bikes and people took pictures of us. We were then given a piece of paper telling us how to look after our bike. Mr Johnston took a picture of us with our bikes and Brian then we went back to school.

We went to the office and Mrs Salmon gave us a letter to take home so that our caregiver could come to school and help us to take our new bike home.

Our bikes are red and orange and they have flames painted onto the frame. .We are very happy that we got a new bike.

Sprint Finals 2012

In Room 4 we all had a wonderful afternoon watching and supporting our participants in the sprint finals. Of course while they had to run hard we sat in the shade cheering them on.

My Story About Diwali From Diaje

Diwali is the Hindu festival of light which celebrates the New Year. It is India's most important holiday. The third day they make cards. They write Happy Diwali and put divas on the card to celebrate Diwali. During Diwali, Hindu people clean their houses and give gifts to friends and family.

Zahra at the dental clinic

At the dentist I was scared because I thought I was getting a tooth out.
But Karl said I wasn't getting a tooth out. Karl said "I will just get the drill" and she said "can you just hold the pipe to get all the water out of your mouth." When she got the drill she put the drill on my back tooth. I put my hand up because it hurt. Karl said "does it hurt?"I said "Yes!". Then she put some banana toothpaste on my back teeth. She got the drill again to do it again because it hurt the first time she did it. Then she got the pipe and got water out of my mouth. When I turned back I saw Joshua. Then Karl got this sharp drill she showed me it. Karl said do you want a mirror I said "yes." Then she said "okay."Then she gave me a big mirror my lip was bumpy it felt funny because she put some banana toothpaste on.

Zahra doing fitness

On Tuesday morning we went out for fitness. First we went with our own teacher. We did the knee tap . The knee tap was so tiring because we had to jump up and down. Then we moved on to Mrs Huggins . Mrs Huggins did two activities we had to run and fast running on the spot. I got a stitch I got so tired. Then we moved on to the star jump with Mrs Millward. Mrs Millward said who ever does good star jumps they get a caught being good. We went to Mrs S we did the stretching like pointing one foot forward and the other one bent.

Inotia doing fitness

On Tuesday I was with Miss S doing the stretching. It was quite hard to stretch. When I was with Mrs Millward we had to do twenty star jumps, I was really exhausted. I had a stitch from doing lots of star jumps but it still made me fit. Before we started doing the fitness Miss Morris always tells us the good or bad news so that the juniors can make good choices instead of doing the wrong thing. When we're finished we sometimes do what Mrs Hiddleston does. We had great fun but we were still tired. Me and my friends kept on huffing and puffing from doing all that fitness.

Fitness for the Juniors by Nazella.

The juniors do fitness so they get fitter and fitter.
Miss Morris chose to do fitness to see If we know how to do fitness or don't know how to do fitness.
The teachers are Miss S , Mrs Hiddleston , Mrs Millward , Mrs Huggins and Miss Morris.
We always do fitness outside on the courts.
We sometimes do races on the courts.
Before we start Miss Morris always has messages.
I love doing fitness on Tuesdays!

The Best Athletics by Petisini

On Monday I felt excited because it is athletics day.when I went to school mrs Hiddleston put numbers on our hand. Then we went to the court. I was in the 8 year old. The helpers wear Samira and Henry. Samira said to me "try your best." Next Henry took us to Mr
Johnston for High jump. On High jump I tried my best but I came fifth. Then I went to discus. Mrs Bruce got us in one line. Eric was first in line so he gets to start. I was next when I chucked the discus it went super far. Then I went to shot put it was amazing because I came third. Next I went to sprints it was incredible! Then I went to netball. I was happy because I had a shot. Then I went skipping and hula hooping but we didn't have a long time because we came too late. Then we went to Mrs Salmon. It was wonderful. Our last group was parachute. Next we went to class and I went home. It was so fun.

Athletics Day from Inotia

On Monday morning I woke up early because I got very excited. I got excited because it was the day of athletics for our school. My favourite activity was the high jump. I had lots of fun. Me and my friends got embarrassed but we still tried our best. I felt really exhausted because I did lots of running. I was so happy. When I landed on the mat it felt really soft. The mat felt soft like a sponge. Mr Johnston made it higher because he wanted it to be harder. When we got in the hall it was super cool. We got so hot because it was sunny. We were with Miss S doing the parachute. We played cat and mouse, we had great fun. The mouse had to go under the parachute and the cat had to go on top of the parachute and try to catch us. Then we had to go to Mrs Martin. We did netball shots. Non of the girls did the netball hoop we only shot the ball in the box because it was easier. When we went to x3 it was quite hard because we were far away. When we went to the sprints Zahra came 1st two times. I came third on the first race and I came second on the second race. I got so tired from doing lots of sports. I tried my best on each sports. It was the best athletics day for my school.

On Monday I planted my very own flower it was exciting.My teacher said "We will have to water our plants every day if you want them to grow but we won't see anything for 7 or 14 days."14 days went by and I saw some of my friends flowers grow mine didn't who knows what might happen to my flower.

My Metre Ruler by Oh Hsen

First I got coloured paper.
Next I got a ruler and a pencil and drew lines length way across the whole paper.
After I got a long ruler and placed my strips along it edge to edge to measure 1 metre.

We made the Scarecrow for the movie festival display.
Some people went with Mrs Hiddleston. She told us we have to use the dye and cottonbud to colour in the scarecrow with.

We used crayons to cover our paper.
After we were using our crayons we painted it in black.
We had to wait for one day,
after waiting for our firework picture we used one kabab stick to make our firework picture.

On my piece of paper I drew lots of fireworks. This type of art is called scraffito. I really enjoyed drawing lots of fireworks.

I had to colour a piece of paper with lots of different colours. The next day we painted it with black paint, then we left it to dry. Then we all had one Bamboo Skewer stick. We had to draw on the paper with the pointy end. I drew thirteen fireworks.

Building the juniors park.

In the morning I saw a big cement mixer building our park for the juniors. When I looked outside I saw eleven kids watching the men building the park and some were looking at the cement mixer. My teacher was taking some pictures of the cement mixer spinning to make concrete. I saw them placing some concrete on the ground smoothly.

I threw the ball and I caught it. I had lots of fun.

These are room 4's circles. They are made of paper and paint. Each picture needed 18 circles and 6 squares. The 6 squares were coloured in with paint we added the biggest circles first then the medium and finally the smallest. This art design is by a man called kandinsky.

Bubbles Bubbles everywhere

In Room 4 we have been looking at bubbles. We had lots of questions, an experiment, art work, acrostic poems and a recount of our bubble blowing day. Stop, Look and Listen

In week 4 we had Constable Julie in our class teaching us how to recognise hazords out on the street. On Friday she took us outside on the streets of Panmure to see if we could put into practice what we had been learning.

Hi my name is Irys. My favourite colour is purple, my favourite sport is netball. I have a younger sister and her name is Azariah.

Helping hands

In Room 4 we have been learning the importance of helping others. We had to draw a picture of us being kind and helpful and then write what we were doing in the picture that showed this action.
Next we all had to agree on a title, as all good books need a title, we chose Helping Hands.
we then had to lay out our words and pictures in a way that looked attractive to the audience, and glue them in place.
Finally we mounted the pages onto the wall to look like a big open book.
